Abstract
This paper is a general review of aerosol dynamics. A Lagrangian equation of motion is presented that incorporates forces that may act on a particle. Included are the influences of viscous drag, gravity, lift, brownian motion, thermophoresis, electrophoresis, photophoresis, and turbulence. Using the equation of motion, particle trajectories can be numerically simulated for given fluid conditions.
