This paper proposes a new level-set approach for premixed flame by considering a finite thickness of flame. A previously used G-equation is modified to treat spatial distributions of flame speed and diffusion effect in reaction region, which balance to keep a steady flame shape. Under uniform and non-uniform density condition, two model equations are newly proposed, both of which give a hyperbolic tangent profile to a steady flame shape in their theoretical solutions. A few examinations in one-dimensional and two-dimensional simulation are performed to validate a suitability of the proposed new approach for time-dependent simulation of flame propagation.
